Our Conviction
Although we continue to grow under the light of current research on best practices in mathematics instruction, we remain collectively committed to 3 principle beliefs:
- The depth of teacher content knowledge is indeed a principle driver behind the degree of student success in mathematics, and teachers want to know.
- Deep, intuitive understanding of mathematical ideas is available to any learner/teacher who has the opportunity to experience them. That experience bridges the symbols to the very ideas they are meant to represent.
- Where professional development is concerned, high quality and sustainability are not mutually exclusive.
